Ars Poetica:
I shop with an incomplete list,
come home with a bag of oranges and wine.
Part of a song stuck in my head. An address
without the name of the street.
The news blue, the kitchen morning-yellow
and bright. Loneliness—a dull knife used to
open the curvature of shadow. Bittersweet.
I am trying to love language
knowing it can be taken and turned.
Which means I am trying to love the world
with the wrong ingredients.
